Where is Bormio?
Bormio is a mountain resort in the Italian Alps, in the north of Italy. It’s west of the Dolomites and part of the famous Stelvio National Park.
This year Bormio was one of the venues for the Winter Olympics hosting the Men's Alpine Skiing such as the Downhill race, Super-G, Giant Slalom, and Slalom. Every year the village also hosts the World Cup Downhill race!
But it’s not all about the skiing, Bormio has been popular since Roman times due to its ancient thermal baths and spa. It’s now a destination for those wanting relaxing time in nature, hiking, cycling, electric bikes, spa goers and much more.
I’ve been coming here since I was 6 years old and now bring my children every chance I get! We are now selling our ‘monolocale’ or Studio flat as I want somewhere a bit bigger to retire to. But this property is a great ‘lockup and leave’ flat which sleeps 4 people.
Where is the flat located?
On the map you will see we are on the road to Bormio 2000, this is the main ski area so you are already half way up the slope! There is a proper road, tarmac, and you are in a Condominium called Residenza Nevada that has facilities to make your life easy.

On the hill towards Bormio 2000, on Via San Pietro 5, the flat is within the Residenza Nevada condominium.
This is a ground-floor monolocale/ studio apartment with a large room and large window comprising a double sofa bed sleeping area and two fold out bunk beds. There is a kitchenette with plenty of cupboards, double hob and a seating area with a dining table and four chairs. A bathroom with shower, toilet and bidet. Fitted cupboards are provided throughout the flat. There is also a small, private cellar in the basement. Parking is in the spaces at the top at the side of Via San Pietro.
The building has a very kind concierge/ portiere family who have looked after the building for generations. There is also a communal laundry room, ski storage room and shared garden with a beautiful view of Bormio.
